Our cards can be printed end-to-end and measure 54mm x 86mm. Please do not include cut marks.

We accept the following file types up to 50mb in size.
PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, AI, PSD, INDD.

 

cmyk
We can only print in CMYK, so no spot color. Only Cool Bamboo and Original Cards can be printed in CMYK.

 

Thicker lines print better, we recommend minimum 0.5pt line weight and minimum 8pt font size.

 

    1. Make sure to account for a 2mm bleed in your design, this is where your background extends beyond the card edge.

 

    1. If possible, designs with graphics or text should be submitted as vector-based PDFs. We recommend applications such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign to keep your text in vector format. Please note that saving text in JPEG format may result in ‘blurred’ edges.

 

  1. If your design combines photos and text, make sure your photos are 300 dpi and your final design is saved as a PDF.

Can I also edit the back of the card?

Cool offers customized backsides.

The backs have a QR code, which is used as a working method to link your card to your account or as a way to share your information with a device that does not have NFC capabilities.

Why should I choose one color for metal cards?

Metal cards are produced using a laser etching process rather than a traditional printing process and can therefore only be two-tone. The base color and the artwork color. You can see the two colors in the metal card color picker.

Do I need to have the design ready before I complete my order?

No, you do not need to prepare your designs before placing your order, but having them ready for printing will of course speed up the process.
